Practice Lip Synch Video
What have I enjoyed?
Whilst creating this music video, I enjoyed the editing part. It was really fun to incorporate the different shots we recorded as one video. Also I enjoyed learning about the software Adobe Premier Pro.
What have I learnt?
I learnt how to edit a music video on Premier Pro and add in special effects e.g. slow motion. I've also learnt how to synch the song - Diamond, on to the music video and cut shots together.
What were the major challenges?
The challenges were syncing up the video with the sound of the song we choose. Also recording the music video, we faced problems with keeping the camera steady at all times. This made the shot shaky and not very in focus at all times.
The time we had to create this video was very short, so there wasn't a variety of shots and different locations that could of been more interesting to see.
What will be the major challenges for my main project?
The major challenges when I create my main project would properly be finding the right song and the people to include into my music video that suits the song. For the main music video, I would want to add a variety of shots in different pace's - in time with the beat of the song I choose. This would take time but would look very good and impressive when executed properly. This would then depend on the song I chose to use for my main music video I create, as a slow pace song wouldn't have as music variety in the beat and pace in the song. The song I choose would have to have a range of beats/ rhythms so it's more flexible in the pace of shots in the music video.
Also adding in other special effects that would make the music video look professional. I will also have to practice how to hold the camera steadily, so the quality of the video is consistently good.
Props and a range of different costumes is something which would make the music video interesting. However, include props will also be a challenge into making the main music video, as the props would have to make sense with the theme of the music video. And the sort of clothes that the actors in the video would again have to suit the song and theme.
The choice of locations I use will be something I would struggle with as they would have to suit the song/theme I choose.
